But I didn’t really talk about how to prepare for the possibility of an alien invasion. I’m not saying I think flying saucers are going to come falling from the sky anytime soon, but hey, you never know, right? Anyhow, using a general plan for disasters of all kinds would be the best way to protect yourself from all kinds of bad things that might happen, including an alien invasion. For those who don’t know where to start, it’s a good thing you’ve come by, because I’m going to explain it all very simply. The first thing everyone really needs is a steady supply of food and water. So, a good way to start your preparations would be to stockpile some canned goods, maybe one or two 50 gallon drums of water, and a very good can opener that won’t break with regular use. Packing an extra couldn’t hurt.
Getting yourself ready to go through hardship involves more than just making a stash of food and water though. Since we’re talking about an invasion here and not a peaceful meeting between two different beings, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try and stay in good physical condition in case something bad happens. You don’t have to go to the gym for hours a week or anything, just get in some regular exercise while at home, maybe some endurance training to make running easier. Building some lean muscle never hurt anybody, and it would probably be a bad thing to really bulk up anyhow, so something like that would be perfect for conditioning a person and giving them a better chance of surviving if life goes awry here on planet Earth. With food, water and health all considered, you can’t forget to keep a supply of any important medications, pills, syrups or other medicines for everyone in the house.
I’m not just talking about convenience items here either. Insulin for diabetes, medicines for mental diseases and drugs for relieving pain and stopping infections would all be good things to keep an extra supply of, just in case. If you don’t need these things then this is a part you don’t need to worry about at all. As for self-defense, that’s really up to you. Conventional weapons may be useless against an advanced race from the other side of the universe, so I’m not sure what kind of advice I can really give here. Just keep yourself and your family safe however you can.
